The economic downturn is not apparent in Breckenridge. There were 31 storefront business licenses issued this year from Jan. 1 to June 30. That compares to 19 for the same period in 2008 and 27 in 2007. Even more startling, there were 22 business closures this year. In 2008, there were 32 and in 2007, 25.
